Funnel Runners maps: route the American Suburbs
The launch biome rewards a short, fault-led search rather than a memorized loot circuit. Read the van, choose the densest useful cluster and keep a return line before the storm starts deleting options.
Playable now: American Suburbs
At v0.34.19, American Suburbs is the playable launch biome. The game combines a small set of base layouts with randomized points of interest and item spawn positions. Learn location types and route logic; do not assume yesterday’s exact item placement will repeat.
Build a useful first sweep
- 01
Diagnose every mandatory van fault before anyone leaves.
- 02
Mark the nearest dense repair cluster—usually a garage, station, junkyard or vehicle group.
- 03
Give houses to a flexible searcher; only route through boarded entrances when the team has a crowbar.
- 04
Keep the first loop short enough to return required parts before weather penalties stack.
Point-of-interest search priorities
These are routing priorities, not guaranteed loot tables. Search order should follow the van’s actual faults and visible conditions.
Garages
Toolboxes, repair support and mechanical supplies.
Strong default first stop when several mechanical faults appear.
Gas stations
Fuel-related and mixed practical loot.
Prioritize for fuel problems or when the station sits on a compact loop.
Junkyards and vehicle beds
Heavy parts and vehicle-adjacent supplies.
Send a carrier or pair; plan the shortest return for a multi-slot tire.
Houses
Mixed loot, shelter and optional objectives.
Efficient when clustered. Boarded routes need a crowbar and cost time.
Parks and open edges
Visible objectives or a specific callout.
Poor blind first choice: fewer escape lines and more exposure to weather.
The route can break underneath you
Points of interest and item positions are randomized between runs.
Dynamic tornado paths can destroy buildings, dropped items and return routes.
Rain, hail, acid rain and lightning can turn a short crossing into the most expensive leg.
Use the van radar, warnings, wind strength and sirens to shorten the plan before the EF5 arrives.
Roadmap boundary: announced is not playable
Old West/desert, Snowy Retreat and Midwest Farm have been discussed as planned biomes. They do not belong in the current map guide until an official release note confirms that players can enter them.
